We are looking for a part-time Business Administrator/ Medical Secretary to join our team at The Podiatry Clinic in Harborne. We are a team of Podiatrists and Physiotherapists.

Job Overview

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will provide friendly & unhurried customer service, with the utmost confidentiality. The ability to build relationships, earn trust, and a willingness to go the extra mile are paramount.

  • Record management, knowledge of GDPR guidelines and patient confidentiality guidelines

  • Strong business acumen and excellent client service skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and social media application

Prior experience as a receptionist/administration is preferred but not essential. Training courses for Business Development can be offered to successful candidates.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answering patient queries on the phone, or in-person

  • Booking appointments for patients

  • Welcoming patients in the reception

  • Provide the patient with a comfortable and confidential environment upon arrival

  • Maintaining patient records by obtaining /collecting recording, and updating personal information.

  • Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information.

  • Working closely with the clinicians and other admin to provide a high quality of patient care.

  • At times assisting clinicians during procedures is required.

  • Overseeing the full clinic facility operations in a business-focused manner

  • Contribute to driving the business forward by sharing knowledge of treatments and products

  • Managing stock through stock counts and ordering sufficient stock

  • Social Media management

Availability (subject to availability of hours and may change as needed).

We are flexible and can offer hours to suit as well.

  • Monday - 10am to 4pm

  • Tuesday - 10am to 4pm

  • Thursday- 10am to 4pm

  • Friday - 10am to 4 pm

  • Saturday- 10-am to 4pm

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Expected start date: ASAP

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Schedule:

  • 6 hours shift

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Saturday

  • Weekend availability

Salary: National Minimum Wage-£10.00 per hour

Your Role Will Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering tailored treatment plans

  • Managing a range of cases including MSK, dermatological, and general podiatry

  • Performing nail surgeries where clinically indicated

  • Maintaining accurate and professional clinical documentation

  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive patient care

What We’re Looking For:

  • HCPC-registered with a recognised Podiatry qualification

  • Experience in private practice – or a genuine passion to make the switch from the NHS

  • Confidence in managing a varied caseload

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A compassionate, team-oriented approach and commitment to patient wellbeing
